I came across an article in the Examiner entitled Is Atheism the answer? It was written by DM Murdock a best-selling author who writes under the penname Acharya S. Her work centers around the belief that Jesus Christ is a myth.  Her article, a four part series on atheism is very well written, and a fair question especially today when so many of us are feeling that the rigid doctrines of organized religion no longer cut it.

My grandmother, whom I love dearly, would have a fit if she knew that I hold no belief in the Catholic Religion to which I was brought up in. I attended mass with her every Sunday for many years, I went to catholic school for two, and I remember as a child, wanting really, really badly to believe in this brown haired, blue eyed, white man that sat up in the clouds and loved me, but only if I followed his law to the letter, or went to confess my sins to one of his ambassadors on earth. As I got older, my thinking took hold, well that and my rebel nature, along with my mother’s teachings who didn’t quite believe in that free thought restrictive crap either.

The issue is that the world at large is having more and more trouble believing it now. And they should. It doesn’t’ make sense, and no God who preaches love can be so hypocritical. One of my favorite quotes to this day, and I’m not sure who it’s by states “My god is not your god, you go to hell.” A little harsh but kinda makes me still giggle.

So, is the belief in no god the answer to society’s ills? You can argue the case very heavily. Religion has killed thousands in the name of some god, whether Catholic, or Muslim, or whatever. It has stamped out rational thought, laughed at science, and often times follows the illogical. Blind faith is required. I can understand completely how people who use their brains, who like to be free in thought, question things and learn would turn away from any religion, but is a belief in nothing the answer?

Author DM Murdock has not answered that question yet, and I look forward to what the conclusion to her series will state but, I’m going to answer it right now.

There is a section in her article in which she states: “The protection and rehabilitation of atheistic inclinations can only improve the human lot. In this regard, atheism clearly provides a much needed aspect of the human experience.” Yes and no, in my opinion. Yes, always yes, to your ability to question. To demand answers even in your faith. To not believe or follow blindly. To seek a bridge between science and spirituality, one that simply makes sense in your own mind. But to believe in nothing outside of this existence to me is deeply saddening.  Even when I didn’t believe in the catholic dogma,  and at the time had no other way which to turn I would tell people who asked me that I believed in the existence of something greater than myself. What that was, what its laws where, or any of those details at the time I didn’t know.

At the end of her third article in the series Murdock poses the question, “But, we must ask again, is atheism the answer to the world’s problems? And if not, what is? Is there a perspective that does not blinding believe yet also does not merely dismiss religious beliefs and spiritual, but accepts and approaches them as part of the human experience?”

Oh you betcha. It’s what myself and hundreds, thousands of others if not quietly touting are actively engaged in. I talk about it in my book, Synarchy. Even Dan Brown in The Lost Symbol briefly touches upon it. I dislike the term new age because of the all wild connotations that come with it, so let’s call it the Religion of You. That’s what it really is. A connection with the source of everything that you are wonderfully a part of. It is a bridge between science and mysticism, one that a logical mind can accept even while practicing magic. And the best part about this spirituality is that when looking for answers, you don’t have to look to any God. You’re looking for your higher self. No other thing can you give you answers you seek. We are the ones we have been waiting for. And not only can you reach a place of divine love, that Christ consciousness, a sense of deep peace and connection with all that is, you can also justify your connection to that source scientifically with the continuing research being done into quantum physics and the noetic sciences.

I read two interesting article’s today on The Spirit Library entitled Throw Caution to the Wind. I absolutely love common sense guides to practical magic. The article discusses the difference between fear and caution, new age silliness and common sense. It’s a great article if you’re one of those who likes to Over Think and believes so literally that every thought is going to create something that you can’t even say, “its going to rain!” without berating yourself for “letting in the negativity”. The other short article was entitled Who Is Best Qualifed to Govern Us? To grab two small sections from it, the question was posed, “in the area of Government who among us, is the best qualified to set the standards, terms and conditions of life for the rest of us?” The answer was, “..if you understood that, and no longer clamored for the “one right way to live,” things would get better for you sooner. So the answer to your question….is; No one is more qualified than you to set the standards for you.” The second question in that article is, “so how would you envision the perfect form of government for us here?” The answer was, “It would be a government that allows you freedom to be, or do, or have as you want. And that will come only when there is an understanding of how you are getting what you are getting. You see, your government, for the most part, has become one of rules and regulations primarily established to protect one of you from the other of you. When you come to understand that you invite through thought, then you will not feel so much need for all that restriction, and then your government can be established as it was begun, more to offer services than restriction or control.”

I cite those two articles as another example to show why this spiritual revolution is so very important to this world, why it makes so much sense, and that your active participation is required.

I’m very curious as to what author Murdock will claim the answer is to her question, but in the interim, I’ve given you some food for thought. No, Atheism by itself is not the answer. It’s not enough to believe in nothing. That won’t heal the world. You’ve got to heal you.

When I finally sit down to write these blog posts my head is usually a flurry of information I want to give to you. My email box is full of newsletters, blog links, all kinds of the “out there” stuff I like to talk about it and it’s difficult to discern what I should be rambling on about that will not only keep you a regular visitor of my blog but entice your senses to give my Book, Synarchy a try.

Today as I’m going to provide a few author/book news updates and then drop right into another blog post on Atheism. As far as book news goes, we’re still ticking along. It can be frustrating at times, clicking on that link that shows sales and watching the number not move. But, persistence, determination and my nonstop work and learning process of marketing will prevail. Eventually you will buy Synarchy, and I’m certain you’ll love it. As far as book promotion goes, we have two reviews that will be incoming soon, I anticipate within the next month. We will be a guest on The Authors Show, the interview has already been taped, now I’m just watching the website and waiting for a scheduling slot. I will be pitching to more radio shows over this week so I’ll keep you posted.

I will be starting a video blog within the month. I’m toying around with the subject matter, but it will follow the same vein as the blog. I might delve more into government conspiracy theories and mix in the grander spiritual picture with that. I’ll keep you posted on that as well.

Synarchy Book 2: The Ascension has a tentative release date for December 21st, 2009. You can expect to see a thicker novel, and of course the expansion of the metaphysical, government conspiracy theories, and shift in consciousness information that you saw in the first book. And of course some really great drama, laughs, tears and a lot of excitement.

I’ll admit, writing it has been slow moving. I find it very difficult to force myself to write, though thanks to the roleplaying game Synarchy 2012, I’m writing everyday, just not always that thing that’s going to get me out of the stinking hotel business.

The final author update is a very exciting one, at least for me. I will be attending the University of Metaphysics, the University System of the International Metaphysic Ministry and obtaining a doctoral degree in Metaphysical Science. In order to legally practice this, my doctoral degree is classified as a doctoral in a specialized area of religion so, upon successful course completion I will also be an ordained minister.. Minster, Doctor Storm if you please . I’m insanely excited about this and can’t wait to get my hands on the course material especially as I delve into writing Book 2. It is very important to me that while weaving this highly entertaining fictious tale I also stick in there some truth, and things you can take with you long after the book is sitting on your book shelf collecting dust.

That’s enough with the not as interesting as a discussion on Atheism. Let’s move onto that.

I’m sure people wonder why I get so up in arms about people letting go of fear, and having a positive mindset for 2012. Hell, having a positive mindset today. The answer is simple and I go into this, in fact I devote a whole entertaining chapter to this in my book Synarchy; it’s because we are not spectators of our reality, we are creators of it. We know something is going to happen in 2012. We don’t know what, and it’s because we are creating what. That is why it is so important that we start paying close attention to what is in our heads, and more importantly what is in our hearts.

I’m going to share with you some video clips from researcher Gregg Braden. They are easy to understand, follow, and thought provoking. Of course it is my intent that this will lead you onto your own quest and further studies into the power of you. You. This all about you. The world is our mirror. In fact, earths magnetic field not only affects us, but we affect it. I plan to devote a lot of research into this and you’ll see it in Synarchy Book 2. I have often wondered, how in 2012 the veil will be so radically shifted. What will allow people to awaken on a global scale or at least start the click. I do not believe it will be some fire and doom, cataclysmic, judgment day event. I believe that because of the pole shift, and galactic alignment there will be a very scientific and magical reason that assists the rest of the worlds population to go, whoa.

There have been countless studies and I reference one of these in Synarchy, where the power of group meditation has had a measurable effect on real world results, like lowering crime rates, or peace. In December of 1988 the Journal of Conflict Resolution posted a study of how a group of people were sent to the Middle East and trained to feel the heart based emotion of peace. Not think it, but feel it (be the change you want to see reflected in the world). It worked, for the brief time they were there. In the Middle East of all places!

It doesn’t take the majority to save the world, but the more the better. In fact the power of us, of our hearts and emotions of peace, love, gratitude, are so strong that 1% of the square root of a population can affect reality. There are 6 billion people on the planet, if a mere 8 thousand constantly, consistently held the emotion of peace in their hearts the world would change. And rest assured my friends that this process is already beginning to take hold. But that just goes to show how important you are. We need you. We need each other. To change the world. It is not impossible, so far from it.

All these fucking doomsday spreading people are starting to grate on my nerves and I say that with a lot of love, promise. However, all these logical, mundane clinging mooks who think us spiritualists are all gullible is making me twitch too. It’s one of those, love the sinner hate the sin type things.

I want to be one of many voices of reason. But the problem with coming up with evidence to support the spiritual is simple; I can’t show you what you don’t believe it. I can’t make you feel the energy you don’t think you can control. If you don’t believe in it, you’re not going to see it, period. And why would you? Where, all you logic minded people, is the logical thinking otherwise?

If you’re not willing to take spirituality for a test drive, then anything I say here is mumbo jumbo and until you are ready, you should move along or go buy my book and simply be entertained by my super bombastic story telling skills . However, for those of you at least willing to entertain the idea, to listen to the debate and do the researching hear me when I say, you can connect. Buddah, the mystics were right. It’s there. And this is coming from someone who has not had many awe inspiring mystical experiences but I have had a few little ones, enough to know that it’s not crap. Hundreds upon hundreds upon thousands have done it. So, get silent, and go within and ask yourself, not anyone else, YOU what will happen in 2012. Then please come back here and let me know what you hear. Because I bet when you get to that point of connection, and silenced the fear based ego it’s not Armageddon. It’s Apocalypse.

And goddamit Apocalypse means lifting the veil. Apocalypse means lifting the veil. And it’s already happening. We don’t have to wait for 2012 and please don’t. Let’s get started rightn ow.

Now, you non believing, logical types need some kind of proof. I’ve got it for you. Not about 2012 though, but about the power of you. Screw 2012 really. It’s called Quantum Physics. Go watch What the Bleep to We Know. Study some stuff about Sacred Geometry. Alchemy.  Did you know Sir Isaac Newton was an alchemist? That Einstein read books on the topic nearly every night? Newsflash, even the spiritual, mystical is logical. Truly. Once experienced it doesn’t become this complicated, nonsensical thing. It’s a lot easier to swallow than some dude up on a cloud that works in mysterious way.

Read the works of David Hawkins, Dr. Bruce Lipton,  Caroline Myss. Even Dr. Michael Sharp has an eassay that appeals to the more scientific, left brained thinker.

Right brained thinker? Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Michael Sharp, Cameron Day, Karen Bishop. Like astrology? Check out Stephanie Azaria, Kathy Biehl, c’mon the list goes on and on and one. These people are not all crazy. There is evidence worth taking a look at and studying. No one teacher has all the answers. Take pieces from the all and you’ll get the big picture.

There is magic in the world people. It’s time we stopped ignoring it. Paranormal Experiences, ESP, Past Life Regression, Out of Body Experiences, are not all crap. Crop Circles are not all fake. Human beings are definitely not the only species in the entire fucking universe and in my opinion to think otherwise makes you really fucking ignorant.

Look, in the same way I need to get over my terrifying fear of spirits you too need to get over your fear of the world being magical. Of the power of you. It is time to take responsibility but its easy, start with yourself!

I’m on this rant for a few reasons. I saw an article in Playboy magazine Playboy for god sakes about 2012 being the end of the world. I twitched. I watched Nostradamus 2012 the new history channel thing special and holy shit that was a freaking 1 and 30 minutes of doomsday if I ever saw it. I was almost scared and I don’t believe for a minute in the doomsday predictions. It really annoyed the crap out of me. Stop the fear mongering, goddamit. But more importantly, stop believing it. What is wrong witchoo people??

But let’s talk about Nostradamus 2012 for a moment. One, that book hasn’t been conclusively proven to being written by Nostradamus. Two, it was in the hands of the Catholic Church at one point, need I say more. Three, there are multiple ways you can interpret those pictures and I really like the one you’ll find on crystalinks. Four, it is very possible that at one point Nostradamus did see the future and did see 2012 as being a big fucking bummer. However, it no longer is. Why? Because we’ve changed it. Prophecy is not written in stone. It is one probability out of thousands. We choose. Us. Humanity is at a crossroads, that’s no doubt. Things are changing, collapse all around us at frightening speed, without question. We’ve got to make a choice a global choice, you betcha. Stop sitting around with your thumb up your ass waiting for someone else to choose your destiny. In the last five minutes of the film they do admit that Nostradamus said this; the choice is ours. Let me repeat that. The choice is ours. Let me write this one more time and really hammer it in, the choice is yours. Yes you.

Look you need to let go of the current reality that’s just basic. It doesn’t’ work kids. The government system doesn’t work, the money system doesn’t work, war, and fear mongering, and polluting the beautiful thing that is Earth doesn’t work. So, what do you choose? Do you want 2012 to be a cataclysmic time where the Earth flicks us the fuck off of her like a booger because we can’t get unblocked?  Or do you want it to be a really great fucking day because you’ve chosen to get your shit straight and stop being afraid of both your magic and power? Choose. Right now. Choose. This is the quintessential question of our times. What do you want 2012 to be? Doomsday or Great Day?

Look I’ll grant you doomsayers this. Some solar flare just may knock out the satellites. But really is that so bad? Omg I can’t use my iphone!! I can’t check my email! I can’t watch TV? What are we going to do??? Um get back to nature? We don’t have to live in huts. The Venus Project is a great view of the future but we need to be in the right mind to support that kind of technology. But it is right there, waiting for us to stop being stoopid. There may be one or two hiccups as Earth straightens some shit out, but it doesn’t have to be bad. You don’t need a fucking phone if you can communicate telepathically do you? You don’t need PSEG, or Entergy or whatever your electricity company is, if you’ve got solar panels, or wind power do yah? Need to cook something, try some good old fucking fashioned fire for a change instead of that nutrient sucking microwave. Feel alone? Go talk to your neighbor. Need food? Learn how to grow some. Want protection? Be attuned to the earth, and your higher self and I guarantee you will never steer yourselves in harm’s way. Or how about we all stop fighting over the abundance of the planet and share it and then you don’t have to fear someone taking it. Learn to live together. With each other. For each other. If some event occurs in 2012 to force this, I say fucking yeah let’s do it. Knock those sats out. Burn that shit to the ground. Wash that dumb shit away. (Please note I am not advocating anyone’s deaths. I know big events usually result in huge human life loss and that sucks, it’s never okay. I’m not saying it is. I’m hoping you’re getting the point I am trying to make. Death is also not the end but the easiest way to ascend. Nothing dies simply transforms. That doesn’t mean taking life that isn’t yours is okay though. Moving on)

Let’s all have to learn how our ancestors did it, until we convert over to the Venus project and live self sustaining, mystical, magical, wonderful lives.

Sure, you need to prepare for 2012. You need to prepare period folks. Are you going to prepare for a good day, or a bad one? I’m not saying don’t take precautions or exercise discernment. I’ve never ever ever ever said that. Please frigging do. It’s a great idea to learn some basic survival skills. Everyone should know them. I need to go learn them. I’m going to start basic and try making my own bread. Saving myself $4 at the grocery store is a great idea for my broke ass. But what you need to do to prepare will be different than everyone else. And only you will know. So, go within and ask your higher self what you need to do, then listen and do. Whatever it is.

We will be all here for each other, I guarantee you that. It’s not going to be a bad time; it’s going to be a magical time of awakening for all of us. And I don’t need any fucking proof. I know. You know too. But you need to stop listening to your fear conditioned ego and ask. Then come back and talk with me. We’ve got magical planning to do. And I for one can’t wait to see you all at the party. Bring your alien friends too please.
